Mebendazole

A broad spectrum anthelmintic. Acts by inhibiting the formation of microtubules in the parasite and causing glucose depletion.

Indications & Dosage:

Oral - Roundworm,Whipworm,Hookwork: 100mg b.i.d. for 3 days.
Pinworm: 100mg single dose.
NOTE: A second course may be given after 2-3 weeks.

Each Capsule Contains:
Mebendazole B.P. 500mg

Mebendazole B.P. 500mg

Safety Alert:

CL: Hypersens, infants and children under 2 years of age, pregnancy and lactation.
SP: Impaired hepatic function, Blood count during the treatment of Echinococcus granulosus infestation.
INT POT-HAZ: None reported. Others: Micofilaricidal effect in onchocerciasis is enhanced in conjunction with levamisole.
ADR POT-LT: None Reported. Others: Transient abdominal pain, diarrhea, slight headache, fever and dizziness.
INT FOOD: Fatty food increases absorption.
